Job OverviewThis position provides legal advice and support on company-wide compliance matters, including employment compliance, internal investigations, and privacy. This role partners closely with operations, human resources, and functional leaders to provide practical, business-focused guidance on compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies. This position operates as a frontline advisor, supporting compliance initiatives under the guidance of senior attorneys while developing subject matter expertise across key compliance areas.Roles and ResponsibilitiesProvides day‑to‑day legal guidance to managers and operations partners on compliance with employment laws, regulatory requirements, and company policiesProactively supports the interpretation and implementation of new and emerging compliance obligations, including state and local requirementsSupports responses to government inquiries, audits, and regulatory matters in coordination with senior counselConducts or supports internal investigations related to employee complaints, policy violations, and other compliance mattersAssists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and training programsSupports cross‑functional compliance initiatives and projects to advance company‑wide compliance objectivesContributes to the development and maintenance of corporate privacy policies, procedures, and related processesTranslates legal requirements into clear, practical guidance for restaurant operators and functional partnersRequired EducationJuris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law schoolRequired Technical Skills3-5 years of law firm or in‑house experience providing guidance on compliance, employment law, privacy, or related mattersLicensed to practice law and in good standing under the Bar of any state that enables admission to practice as in‑house counsel in FloridaOther Key QualificationsDemonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal clients and cross‑functional partnersExercises sound judgment in identifying, analyzing, and escalating legal and compliance issues as appropriateStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environmentEffective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in a clear and practical mannerPreferred Skills and ExperienceCertified compliance or privacy professional a plusExperience supporting multi‑state employers or operationsExperience in retail and hospitality industriesExperience in leading cross functional teamsExposure to internal investigations and/or workplace compliance matters#J-18808-Ljbffr
