Cost Accountant Position Located in Northern MKE SuburbWe are working a newly created Cost Accountant position for a growing, national manufacturing company. This position will have a direct line to the VP and really get to make the position their own. There is also a quick roadmap to management here!ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly account reconciliations, prepare financial reports, and report out on findings.Assist with the financial close process, which includes account analysis, preparing journal entries, updating various files and related financial reporting.Be involved with the year‑end financial audit to prepare information and work with the auditors.Analyze departmental cost calculations and methods and provide recommendations to improve.Analyze department and part‑level costing for significant or unusual areas and work with appropriate areas to correct / improve.Establish various costing rates based on actual costs.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field1+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing settingProblem‑solving/process improvement mindsetAttention to detail and organization skillsEqual Opportunity Employer / Veterans / DisabledThe Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.#J-18808-Ljbffr
