Position Overview Concorde Education is seeking an engaging, student-centered Cosmetology Instructor to facilitate a short-format after-school enrichment course introducing students to cosmetology pathways, including nail technology, hairdressing, and makeup artistry. This course is designed as a school-appropriate exploration of foundational techniques, professionalism, and industry standards, emphasizing hygiene, safety, and respectful client communication.
This is an enrichment course and is not a licensure program. Instruction should remain non-invasive and aligned with site policies, with an emphasis on safe, simulated practice and age-appropriate tools and products. The instructor will deliver instruction across a typical 10-week cycle, with pacing adapted to student needs and site logistics.
What You Will Teach Students will explore foundational cosmetology knowledge and hands-on skills across three core areas: nail care basics, introductory hairstyling techniques, and makeup fundamentals. Students will learn about sanitation protocols, tool safety, professional expectations, and career pathways while building creative confidence through guided practice and design challenges.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver a 10-session course with clear objectives and engaging, hands-on instruction
Maintain strict hygiene and safety routines aligned with school expectations and site policies
Provide age-appropriate demonstrations and scaffolded practice across nails, hair, and makeup
Differentiate instruction for varying skill levels and support student confidence and creativity
Maintain a safe, inclusive, supportive learning environment and model professional behavior
Communicate professionally with site staff and Concorde program contacts regarding attendance and session completion tracking
Adapt pacing and activities as needed while maintaining intended course outcomes
Qualifications (Required)
Minimum of 60 college credits (or Associate degree in progress/completed)
Content knowledge and practical experience in one or more areas: nail technology, hairdressing, makeup artistry, cosmetology, or closely related fields
Experience working with school-age students in structured settings (school, camp, after-school, tutoring, youth programs)
Strong facilitation skills, clear communication, and comfort managing hands-on activities
Reliable, punctual, and professional; able to follow school policies and program boundaries
Ability to implement safety-first routines, including sanitation protocols and appropriate material handling
