NOW HIRING - CORPORATE USED VEHICLE DIRECTOR
The Hertrich Family of Dealerships is seeking an accomplished Corporate Used Vehicle Director - Regional Operations to lead and strengthen our companywide used-vehicle retail strategy.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Regional Used Car Director, Corporate Used Car Director, Used Vehicle Director, Pre-Owned Director, GM with a strong Used Car background or high-performing Used Car Manager ready for broader multi-store leadership.
Your mission: Build and operate the used-vehicle system needed to achieve and sustain 1,000 used retail sales per month while improving acquisition, inventory turn, pricing, profitability, and store execution.

What You'll Lead
- Establish store inventory targets, days' supply, price bands, and vehicle mix
- Drive acquisition through auctions, ACV, lease returns, service lanes, and private-party sourcing
- Conduct weekly operating reviews with dealership leadership
- Improve appraisal, pricing, recon, merchandising, and days-to-frontline
- Manage pricing, aging strategies, and day-30/day-60 action plans
- Monitor aged inventory and coordinate internal and external exit strategies
- Standardize ACV Max, market analysis, appraisal, and VIN-level reporting
- Partner with marketing on inventory opportunities and aged-unit priorities
- Coach and develop Used Car Managers, buyers, and acquisition specialists
- Increase volume and turn while protecting PVR, recon costs, advertising efficiency, and profitability
What We're Looking For
- Significant automotive used-vehicle management experience required
- Multi-store, regional, or corporate experience strongly preferred
- Proven success with acquisition, pricing, inventory aging, and turn
- Strong understanding of retail and wholesale automotive markets
- Strong analytical, financial, and operational skills
- ACV Max or comparable inventory technology experience
- Proven ability to coach leaders, influence store performance, and drive accountability
- Ability to partner effectively with General Managers and executive leadership
- 3+ years' experience in Used Inventory Management
- Proven customer service and sales/up-selling skills
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
- Comfortable with computers and dealership service systems
- High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree a plus
