    Overview

    The Primary Care Medical Director provides clinical leadership and oversight for primary care services within Beebe Healthcare in partnership with director of advanced practice clinicians and director of operations. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered care while fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for providers and staff.

    Expected administrative responsibilities is 50% of an FTE.

    Responsibilities

    Clinical Leadership:

    Oversee the clinical performance of primary care, and urgent care clinicians

    Ensure adherence to current clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices.

    Lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor clinical outcomes.

    Operational Oversight:

    Collaborate with administrative leadership to align clinical operations with organizational goals.

    Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for primary care and urgent care services

    Support the integration of all medical specialties across BMG

    Compliance & Risk Management:

    Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.

    Monitor and address clinical risk and patient safety concerns.

    Provider Support & Development:

    Mentor and support primary care and urgent care clinicians through coaching, performance reviews, and continuing education.

    Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts for clinical staff.

    Community Engagement:

    Represent the organization in community health initiatives and partnerships.

    Promote health equity and access to care for all populations.

    Qualifications

    MD or DO with board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related field.

    Active and unrestricted medical license and CSR in Delaware.

    Active and unrestricted DEA license.

    Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in primary care.

    At least 2 years of leadership or administrative experience preferred.

    Strong knowledge of population health, quality metrics, and value-based care models.

    Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.

    Strategic thinker with a commitment to continuous improvement.

    Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and data-driven decision-making.
