Position Overview

As a Corporate Tax Senior Associate, you will be a key member of the corporate tax team, supporting business income tax planning, corporate tax compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting engagements. You will collaborate with experienced tax professionals and specialists to deliver exceptional client service while managing multiple engagements and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage corporate tax engagements from planning through completion while meeting project timelines and budgets.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns, providing guidance and performance feedback.
  • Review corporate tax returns prepared by staff and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and identify tax-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare and review ASC 740 income tax provision engagements.
  • Research and analyze complex tax issues and provide practical recommendations.
  • Prepare and process tax returns using tax software.
  • Respond to inquiries from the IRS, state, and other tax authorities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by working closely with client management and teams.
  • Develop an understanding of client operations and business objectives to provide value-added tax solutions.
  • Participate in professional development and technical training programs.
  • Maintain the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and client confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting.
  • 2–4 years of progressive experience in corporate tax compliance and/or tax consulting.
  • Experience with ASC 740 income tax provisions is strongly preferred.
  • CPA designation is preferred.
  • Public accounting experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
