Description
Key Responsibilities:
Run client engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, directing, completing tax projects, and managing to budget.
Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on tax projects; assess staff performance for engagement reviews; perform in-charge role as needed.
Review tax returns prepared by staff; recommend improvements for accuracy and tax savings opportunities; gain increasing responsibility in reviews.
Conduct primary review and prepare ASC 740 income tax provision engagements, including end-to-end preparation, review, and audit support.
Research and consult on various tax matters; utilize tax-related software to prepare and process returns.
Respond to inquiries from IRS, state, and other tax authorities.
Maintain strong working relationships with clients; collaborate effectively with client management and staff at all levels to gather information and perform tax services.
Gain understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives; apply that knowledge to engagements.
Attend professional development and training sessions regularly.
Adhere to highest professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Technical Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
2-4 years of progressive corporate tax compliance and/or consulting experience.
Strong experience with ASC 740 income tax provisions (end-to-end, including preparation, review, and audit); strongly preferred.
