LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-regarded, collaborative law firm who is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support attorneys within its Corporate and Tax practice. This position plays a key role in ensuring the day-to-day operations of the group run smoothly, while delivering high-quality work product and a strong level of client service. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage attorneys' daily schedules, including meetings, travel, and deadlines
Draft, revise, and finalize legal documents with a strong focus on accuracy and presentation
Maintain calendars and ensure all time-sensitive matters are properly tracked and addressed
Create and update spreadsheets, logs, and internal tracking tools for client matters
Process expense reports, reimbursements, and related administrative items
Monitor project timelines and follow up to ensure deadlines are consistently met
Enter and review time entries in accordance with firm guidelines
Assist with the billing process, including reviewing prebills, editing narratives, and resolving discrepancies
Open new client matters, run conflict checks, and maintain organized electronic and physical files
Uphold strict confidentiality across all client and firm information
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience supporting transactional attorneys, ideally in a corporate-focused practice
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Familiarity with document management and timekeeping systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
Professional, adaptable, and service-oriented approach
Preferred:
Prior billing experience, including exposure to e-billing platforms
Experience working in a law firm environment
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Schedule & Benefits:
Monday - Friday, standard business hours

Pay Details: $45,000.00 to $68,000.00 per year
