    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to provide comprehensive support to attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment. This role requires strong knowledge of court procedures, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines with precision.

     

    Key Responsibilities



    • E-Filing Management: Prepare and electronically file legal documents through South Carolina State and Federal court systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements


    • Document Preparation & Review: Draft, proofread, and format pleadings, motions, discovery materials, correspondence, and other legal documents


    • Case Management: Maintain and organize case files (electronic and physical), ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible


    • Attorney Support: Assist attorneys with scheduling, court filings, trial preparation, and overall case coordination


    • Calendaring & Deadlines: Track and manage litigation deadlines, hearings, and court dates to ensure full compliance with court rules and procedures


    • Administrative Support: Support daily operations through tasks such as time entry, billing assistance, expense reporting, and travel coordination

    Qualifications & Skills



    • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of litigation legal assistant experience, preferably within South Carolina


    • E-Filing Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of South Carolina State and Federal court electronic filing systems


    • Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with South Carolina Rules of Civil Procedure and Federal court procedures


    • Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with legal case management software


    • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment


    • Attention to Detail: Excellent proofreading, formatting, and document management skills
