A well‑established Atlanta law firm (AmLaw‑caliber) is seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Corporate Legal Assistant to support attorneys within its corporate and transactional practice. This role is ideal for a legal support professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrates strong judgment, and takes pride in accuracy and client service.
The position provides comprehensive administrative and practice support to multiple attorneys and works closely with firm leadership and legal support management.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a professional point of contact for clients, attorneys, and business executives via phone and written correspondence
Draft, format, proofread, and finalize legal and business documents with a high degree of accuracy
Maintain attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and track deadlines to ensure matters stay on course
Prepare and review monthly client billing in accordance with firm guidelines
Assist with expense submissions, reimbursements, and billing documentation
Organize and maintain electronic and physical files, including uploads/downloads from secure third‑party platforms
Open and manage new client and matter files following internal procedures
Enter attorney time accurately into the firm's billing system (Aderant experience preferred)
Coordinate document flow, correspondence, and filings to support corporate transactions
Work independently while collaborating with the broader corporate team to ensure high‑quality work product
Demonstrate flexibility with workload and availability, including overtime when business needs require
Perform additional administrative or project‑based tasks as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal assistant or comparable law‑firm support role, preferably within corporate or transactional practices
Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow‑through
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a polished, professional demeanor
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a deadline‑driven environment
High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
Proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel); experience with document management systems strongly preferred
Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to anticipate attorney needs
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred
Work Schedule
Full‑time, onsite
Standard hours: 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (1‑hour lunch)
Overtime may be required based on workload
Work Environment
