The Corporate Counsel is responsible for reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts across a wide range of commercial categories, including indirect services such as technology and IT agreements, equipment and tooling, aviation, and logistics, as well as sales-related agreements, distribution arrangements, and other commercial contracts supporting both the buy-side and sell-side of the business. The contracts may involve the purchase of products and services such as supplies, software, SaaS, materials, equipment, and other items. This role will handle work for the procurement teams, the sales teams, and other commercial contracting needs across the business.
The Corporate Counsel is a member of the Law Department who supports the business by providing legal guidance on commercial transactions and contract negotiations. This role serves as a key point of contact between internal business teams and senior legal counsel, ensuring contracts are negotiated, drafted, and executed in accordance with company standards and applicable law.
This position will serve Rheem North America, located in Atlanta, GA (Hybrid). This role follows our hybrid work arrangement, with team members working in the office Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays.

J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
7+ years of contracts negotiation experience at a law firm or in-house legal department.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment that requires managing multiple priorities, exercising sound legal judgment, and working effectively across all areas of the company.
Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial transactions, and general corporate legal principles.
Contract negotiation experience, preferably in-house, across a broad range of commercial agreements. Experience with technology and IT agreements, equipment and tooling, aviation, and logistics is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Strong presentation skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management.
Proficiency with legal technology tools, including contract lifecycle management systems, Microsoft Office, and legal research platforms.
