    SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking an experienced Corporate Accounting Manager to oversee and perform key day-to-day accounting and financial operations across the organization. This hands-on role will encompass financial transactions, payroll, financial reporting, month-end closing, and the ongoing accuracy and timeliness of accounting activities. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with company leadership and operational teams, you will help ensure the effectiveness of financial processes while providing oversight to accounting support staff. This position offers an opportunity for a self-directed, organized, and detail-oriented accounting professional to contribute to the company's financial operations while expanding their responsibilities and growing within the organization.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:



    • Manage and perform day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring financial information is accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with established accounting practices.

    • Lead the monthly closing process, including account reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger review, and preparation of financial statements and supporting reports.

    • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing, cash receipts, payments, and account reconciliation.

    • Monitor outstanding receivables and support customer collection activities.

    • Oversee and process payroll activities, including review of timekeeping information and maintenance of accurate payroll records.

    • Manage routine banking and cash management activities, including deposits, payments, reconciliations, and related reporting.

    • Prepare and maintain recurring financial, tax, regulatory, and compliance reports and filings.

    • Prepare schedules, documentation, and supporting information for year-end activities and external auditors.

    • Maintain accurate fixed assets, vendors, customers, and other accounting records.

    • Provide oversight and support to accounting staff and ensure established processes and deadlines are consistently met.

    • Partner with the CFO and company leadership to resolve accounting issues, improve processes, and maintain effective financial controls.

    • Serve as an accounting resource to employees and departments throughout the organization.

    • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, documentation, and efficiency.

    • Perform additional accounting and financial responsibilities as needs evolve.


    QUALIFICATIONS:



    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field required.

    • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to multiple areas of the accounting function.

    • Experience with payroll and timekeeping systems; Paycor experience preferred.

    • Strong hands-on experience with general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close.

    • Experience preparing financial statements and supporting year-end audit activities.

    • Experience within a privately held, construction, manufacturing, transportation, distribution, or other operational business environment is a plus.

    • Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial controls.

    • Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

    • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of responsibilities from start to finish.

    • Ability to learn new technology and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through systems and automation.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively and inclusively across departments and levels of the organization.
