Summary:
Coordinates research visits for participants in clinical trials including scheduling; arranging Lyft (or other) transportation for research participants; greets patients at the office entrance. Assists with the disposition of scheduling of participant appointments. Triages service requests/medical issues to the proper provider. Upholds the mission, vision, values and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required: High School graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam. Three years of clinical office experience with knowledge of medical terminology, filing systems, word processing software packages and computerized scheduling. Experience coordinating multiple professional staff members. Must demonstrate appropriate (i.e. nonjudgmental, flexible) interpersonal skills to work with social high-risk family populations. Must demonstrate an ability to understand issues related to managed care on an on-going basis, interact with insurance companies and vendors, and ensure that appropriate paperwork is completed on a timely basis to facilitate patient visits. Must have an understanding of all appropriate billing procedures to complete billing forms for reimbursement. Preferred: Knowledge of HIS. Physical Demands: May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to communicate face-to-face, via phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job-related documents. Ability to use a computer.
