Function Position Summary The Coordinator of the U-46 Educational Foundation works collaboratively with the Foundation Board to implement the organizations comprehensive strategic plan to strengthen the Foundation and meet its vision to Expand opportunities for all U-46 students in a changing world. This shall be accomplished through the development of fundraising activities, donor relations, alumni relations, and marketing strategies that drive financial support benefiting School District U-46s students and employees.

The Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a long-term fundraising strategy, ensuring that the Foundation meets annual benchmarks. In addition, the Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and efficient distribution of funds based on annual Board funding priorities. The Coordinator serves as the primary administrator of the Foundation and is responsible for all related office functions.

This position will report to the Director of Communications & Community Relations and work indirectly in support of the U-46 Educational Foundation.

Job Duties Responsibilities

Board Support and Engagement Manage the flow of information to all Board members. Provide regular reports to the Foundation Board regarding all strategic plan metrics, including fundraising efforts. Develop Board meeting agendas and supporting documents in collaboration with the Board Officers. Assist the Policy Board Development Committee with recruitment, onboarding, and Board member development. Work with the Finance Committee to oversee the Foundations financial reporting and record-keeping, tracking. Support the work of other Foundation committees as needed.

Planning and Administration Oversee the Foundations daily operations, including meeting management, fundraising activities, financial oversight, program development, and execution (e.g., scholarships, grants, etc.), and donor relations. Develop and maintain office processes and activities to ensure a high-quality operation and service level. Track organizational metrics to measure outcomes of the Strategic Plan and calibrate as needed. Ensure compliance in timely filing of all reports, documents, according to district, state, federal laws, regulations, and procedures. Work closely with Board-approved third-party vendors, consultants, financial, legal, as needed, and manage relevant contractual obligations.

Fundraising Lead facilitate and collaborate with U-46 school administrators and the Foundation Board to plan and implement fundraising campaigns and events. Cultivate community and alumni relationships in order to generate revenue from individual, organization, foundation, and other donors. Develop and execute an annual plan for ongoing donor communications, including impact reporting.

Community Relations Articulate the Foundations vision and mission through a wide variety of tactics, including ongoing in-person interactions, marketing materials, and multimedia communications. Ensure proper use of the Foundation brand among the Board, U-46 employees, vendors, and partners. Regularly attend District school, parent, local government, and community meetings and events to share information and provide formal presentations about the Foundation.

Alumni Relations Lead facilitate and collaborate with U-46 high school administrators and employees to develop an alumni relations program, including the development of an alumni database.

General Maintain the confidentiality of student, family, and employee information in the department and in the community. Maintain department-specific equipment. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education Bachelors Degree or 5-7 years of similar work experience required.

Experience Knowledge Prior administrative and foundation experience preferred. Knowledge of non-profit and public-school funding. Proven experience in fundraising and marketing, including donor management and supporting CRM systems. Knowledge of financial management, accounting software.

Skills Excellent interpersonal facilitation and collaboration skills. Impeccable follow-up and follow-through. Exceptional written and verbal communications skills. Proven advanced skills in multiple methods of communicating to various audiences, including website management maintenance. Experience using basic graphic design tools, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite. Proficiency using Microsoft Office products and Google Suite.

Strong project planning, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to work in a high-volume environment. Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as in a team setting. Knowledge of U-46 and community leaders, partners, and groups preferred.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) written and verbal also preferred.

Salary Benefits Term of Employment This is a 12-month position with salary and benefits as established by the Board of Education. The salary range for this position is $85,602.00 - $128,410.00. Our typical practice is to hire in between the minimum and midpoint, $106,999.00. Flexibility in regular schedule necessary, evening, weekend work required. Frequent off-site work must be willing to travel primarily within U-46 district boundaries.
