Cook Job Details:

Location: 6501 Almeda Rd. Houston TX 77021

Schedule: Days and Hours will vary after Week 3

Week 1: Monday - Friday | 6:00am - 1:30pm

Week 2: Monday - Friday | 11:00am - 6:30pm

Week 3: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 4:00pm

Starting Pay Rate: $15.00 Hourly

Temporary to hire 

Cook Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve meals according to established menus, dietary guidelines, and portion requirements. 
• Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations to ensure a clean, safe kitchen environment. 
• Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff and management to meet mealtime schedules. 
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering/restocking as needed. 
• Comply with hospital and departmental food preparation standards. 
• Maintain a sanitary, organized, and hazard-free work area. 
• Complete additional tasks assigned by the supervisor. 

Education Requirements: 

• High school diploma or equivalent, required
• Ability to obtain and maintain Food Safety Certification. 

Job Requirements: 

• Familiarity with various cooking methods, food handling, and safety protocols. 
• Basic math and measuring skills. 
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting with attention to detail. 
• Must be able to lift, bend, push, pull, and remain on feet for extended periods. 
• Proof of immunizations and TB test required.
