Role Overview:     
The Controller will serve as a vital strategic finance leader to the President. This person will be responsible for transforming complex financial data into actionable business insights and strategic initiatives. This role is perfect for a senior level accounting professional looking to take the next step in their career. This person will be responsible for establishing financial maturity and GAAP compliance while building a sophisticated reporting infrastructure. You will help to lead the critical transition from QuickBooks to Sage Intacct, improve the monthly-close processes, and implement KPI frameworks. The goal is for the financial data to tell a story and work with the President to make sound business decisions. 

Responsibilities:     

• Improve and implement efficient month-close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness. 
• Lead the transition of the company's accounting infrastructure from QuickBooks to Sage Intacct. 
• Establish financial maturity and GAAP compliance across the organization. 
• Develop and build strategic reporting dashboards from scratch, establishing necessary infrastructure where it may be limited. 
• Supporting the sales team with project financing.
• Manage all outstanding collections. 
• Improve commissions, project profitability analysis, and other internal processes as needed.
• Directly manage and train a finance team of 2–3 people, ensuring they are proficient in newly developed processes and systems. 
• Enable data-driven decision-making by developing and managing KPI frameworks and strategic financial reporting. 
• Build and maintain comprehensive strategic forecasts and financial models to support long-term business goals. 

Role Qualifications:   

• Bachelor's in accounting of finance, ideally 8+ years of experience 
• Must live in the Tampa Bay area 
• Strong operational accounting experience with Sage Intacct and QuickBooks; experience leading a software migration  
• Background in residential services, blue-collar, construction, real estate, or hospitality 
• Familiarity with the private equity reporting cadence  
• CPA certification  
• Strong grasp of accounting principles, GAAP compliance 
• Proven ability to train and manage teams effectively 
• Natural talent, professional attitude, and the ability to learn quickly are prioritized over years of experience alone 

Logistics:    

• Full-time; based in-office at our Tampa, FL headquarters 
• Directly reports to the President of Weather Tite Windows 
• Total compensation ranges from $154,000-$165,000 annually.
