Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Controller / Accounting Manager to lead the financial operations of a growing manufacturing organization in Sapulpa. This hands-on leadership role oversees accounting, financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, ERP administration, internal controls, and financial analysis while providing strategic insight to support continued business growth.

The ideal candidate has a strong manufacturing accounting background, proven leadership experience, and enjoys balancing strategic financial oversight with day-to-day accounting operations.
Required Experience & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
Experience in a manufacturing, engineer-to-order (ETO), or build-to-order (BTO) environment
3 5+ years of accounting leadership experience managing direct reports
Strong experience leading month-end close and financial reporting processes
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Experience with ERP/MRP systems
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Accounting Administrative Assistant and Staff Accountant
Oversee month-end close processes and financial reporting activities
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Manage accounts payable operations to ensure timely vendor payments
Monitor accounts receivable and support timely collections
Process payroll and ensure compliance with payroll tax reporting requirements
Serve as the on-site administrator and owner of ERP and financial reporting systems
Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts
Develop, implement, and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
Analyze budget-to-actual variances and provide recommendations to leadership
Support executive decision-making through financial modeling, reporting, and analysis
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement accounting best practices
Assist with audits and external reporting requirements
Perform additional financial and operational duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Strong cost accounting experience
Experience with percentage-of-completion and long-term contract accounting
Manufacturing financial reporting experience in a production environment
CPA designation preferred but not required
MBA preferred but not required
Experience in an ISO 9001 environment
Experience in the energy, industrial equipment, or process equipment industries
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer
Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers, printers, and copiers
Strong visual acuity for detailed financial work
Ability to perform repetitive keyboard and computer tasks
Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 lbs
Must follow all company safety procedures while visiting manufacturing and production areas
Work Environment
