Key Responsibilities for the Controller:

• 
  
• Manage the general ledger and oversee month-end close activities
  • Lead audit preparation, reconciliations, and financial compliance efforts
  • Implement and maintain digital payment and paperless expense systems
  • Deliver accurate financial reporting and support budgeting processes
  • Transition accounting functions in-house and improve operational efficiencies
  • Oversee payroll and partner closely with HR on financial processes

Qualifications for the Controller:

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA preferred, but not required
  • Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge or similar nonprofit accounting software
  • Background in nonprofit and/or education sector accounting
