Controller

A leading global private markets investment firm is seeking a Controller to oversee accounting, financial reporting, and control functions supporting its U.S. investment platform. This individual will work closely with senior finance leadership and play a key role in supporting a complex and growing private markets business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting, close, and accounting oversight across private market investment structures.
• Oversee fund and management company accounting, including consolidations and financial statement preparation.
• Manage reporting and compliance requirements for 1940 Act registered investment vehicles.
• Partner with fund administration, tax, legal, compliance, investment, and operations teams.
• Coordinate external audits and maintain a strong internal control environment.
• Support new fund launches, investment structures, and continued growth of the platform.

Qualifications

• Private markets experience required, ideally across private equity, private credit, secondaries, or alternative investments.
• 1940 Act experience required, with strong knowledge of registered fund accounting and reporting.
• Strong GAAP, financial reporting, and technical accounting background.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Prior Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior fund accounting leadership experience.
