Kforce's client, a neighborhood healthcare organization in the Greater Boston area, is seeking a Controller to join its finance leadership team. Reporting to the CFO, this position will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, grant administration, and finance systems initiatives for a complex, mission-driven organization. Summary: This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial operations, managing audits and month-end close, supporting strategic planning, overseeing grant compliance, and helping drive financial modernization through technology, reporting tools, and process improvements. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Manage audits, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
  • Direct grant accounting, reporting, and funding compliance activities
  • Partner with executive leadership on strategic financial initiatives
  • Support ERP, reporting, analytics, and process improvement projects
  • Develop and mentor accounting and finance staff

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA preferred; advanced degree a plus
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience
  • Experience with grants, audits, internal controls, and financial systems
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, advanced Excel, and financial reporting tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, and business partnering skills
  • Healthcare, nonprofit, government-funded, or grant-driven organization experience preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
