The York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority was established as a new organisation in early 2024.  It is a public sector employer with access to powers and funding to unlock transport and housing improvements, boost skills provision and help the economy transition to net zero for York and North Yorkshire. We are recruiting to two full-time Contract and Relationship Officer posts within our Skills and Employment Team. These are exciting opportunities to join the York and North Yorkshire Careers Hub and play a key role in strengthening careers education, employer engagement and opportunities for young people across the region.

 

As part of the Skills and Employment Team, you will play a key role in helping young people across York and North Yorkshire prepare for their future careers. Working within the York and North Yorkshire Careers Hub, you will bring together schools, colleges, employers and partners to strengthen careers education and create opportunities for young people. Through building strong partnerships, encouraging collaboration and using data and insight to drive improvement, you will help shape priorities and deliver positive outcomes for young people and employers across the region.

 

Please note: This advert is being used to recruit to two full-time fixed-term vacancies, each working 37 hours per week until 31 August 2027.

 

What you will bring:

  •        Experience of working with schools, colleges, employers or other partners to deliver positive outcomes.
  •        The ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with a wide range of people.
  •        An understanding of careers education, employer engagement and opportunities for young people.
  •        Experience of using data and information to monitor progress, measure impact and identify improvements.
  •        Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with different audiences.
  •        Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
  •        Confidence using digital systems and reporting tools to track activity and support performance reporting.
  •        A positive, flexible and solutions-focused approach.
  •        A commitment to improving opportunities for young people across York and North Yorkshire.
