Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Contract Recruiter for a highly respected, mission-driven nonprofit organization serving its local community through philanthropy, grantmaking, programs, and strategic partnerships. This is a 3-month temporary opportunity with potential to extend based on organizational need and is hybrid in Boston, MA, with onsite work required Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Contract Recruiter will provide immediate recruiting support by taking ownership of multiple active professional-level searches across a diverse range of functions. This individual will manage the full recruiting lifecycle, partnering closely with hiring managers to develop recruiting strategies, source and engage qualified talent, conduct candidate screenings, coordinate interviews, and maintain strong candidate pipelines. The ideal candidate is a resourceful, relationship-driven recruiter who can quickly step into an active workload and independently move searches forward in a professional, mission-driven environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own full-cycle recruitment for multiple professional-level searches, from initial sourcing and candidate engagement through interview coordination, offer support, and handoff to onboarding.
Immediately take ownership of approximately 4-5 active searches, developing recruiting strategies and building qualified candidate pipelines.
Recruit across professional functions including research and evaluation, HR, development/fundraising, finance, operations, IT, marketing, strategy, programs, events, and grantmaking.
Partner with hiring managers to understand position requirements, translate needs into effective sourcing strategies, and develop thoughtful interview and candidate evaluation processes.
Source, screen, engage, and manage candidates while providing consistent communication and a high-quality candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
Maintain accurate recruiting activity within the ATS and leverage modern recruiting and AI tools to increase efficiency, strengthen search execution, and continuously improve recruiting processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated success managing end-to-end, full-cycle recruitment for professional and primarily exempt-level positions.
Direct experience recruiting for professional-services positions such as Director of Research, HR Generalist, Development/Fundraising, and other specialized corporate or nonprofit functions.
Ability to independently manage multiple active searches, prioritize urgent hiring needs, and move quickly from high-level hiring-manager direction to active candidate outreach.
Strong sourcing, screening, candidate relationship management, ATS, and recruiting technology skills; experience leveraging AI-enabled recruiting tools is a plus.
Highly professional, collaborative, organized, and relationship-driven, with the ability to work onsite in downtown Boston every Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This is a full-time, 3-month temporary position paying up to $55/hour, with the potential for the assignment to extend based on organizational need.
