Contract & Compliance Administrator

StaffBuffalo is working with a respected construction and public works organization to hire a Contract & Compliance Administrator, paying $27-$35/hour. This newly created position offers the opportunity to centralize and strengthen contract administration and compliance processes for a growing company. The ideal candidate enjoys reviewing details, identifying risks, and ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant.

In this Contract & Compliance Administrator role, you will spend the majority of your time reviewing incoming contracts, comparing terms and conditions against established standards, identifying potential red flags, and coordinating contract-related documentation. You will also support the data entry of certified payroll submissions for public works projects and help maintain compliance with insurance and subcontractor requirements.

Success in this position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. This is an In-Person, On-Site position in Buffalo, NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Review incoming contracts to ensure scope, pricing, and terms align with approved agreements and company standards
  • Analyze contract language, identify risks or inconsistencies, and escalate concerns to leadership when appropriate
  • Compare new agreements against previously approved contracts to support contract standardization efforts
  • Coordinate subcontract issuance, contract execution, insurance documentation, and compliance tracking
  • Maintain contractor and vendor compliance records, including insurance certificates and required documentation
  • Enter and submit certified payroll information through state and project-specific reporting systems
  • Collaborate with project managers and administrative teams to improve contract and compliance processes

    Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience reviewing contracts, legal documents, compliance records, or related administrative documentation
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, contract language, and risk-related provisions such as indemnification and insurance requirements
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and PDF file formats
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to thoroughly review and interpret complex documents
  • Self-starter who can learn new regulations, systems, and processes with minimal supervision
  • Strong written communication, organizational, and analytical problem-solving skills
