Description

Certified of New York is seeking a Construction Takeoff Specialist to support our growing pipeline of commercial and residential projects. This role is ideal for someone with basic estimating or construction experience who wants to grow, learn, and work on architect-driven, high-end projects without needing senior-level credentials.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform digital quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar software.
  • Review architectural drawings and bid documents to extract accurate measurements.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates and assembling complete bid packages.
  • Organize subcontractor proposals, scope sheets, and bid comparisons.
  • Track plan revisions, RFIs, and project documentation.
  • Support Project Management with budgets, buy-outs, and bid follow-ups.
  • Communicate professionally with subcontractors, architects, and internal teams.

Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of construction or estimating experience (commercial or residential).
  • Familiarity with PlanSwift, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple bids.
  • Clear, professional communication skills.
