Construction Superintendent
Bloomington, MN | Direct Hire | $100,000–$125,000
Konik is partnering with a growing commercial construction company seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to oversee field operations from project start through completion. This role is responsible for managing subcontractors, maintaining schedules, ensuring quality standards, and promoting a safe and efficient jobsite environment.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on construction leader who enjoys being actively involved in the field, building strong relationships, solving problems, and delivering successful commercial projects.
Construction Superintendent Responsibilities
- Lead daily field operations for commercial construction projects from groundbreaking through closeout.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and onsite activities to maintain project progress.
- Develop and maintain construction schedules while identifying and resolving issues that impact timelines.
- Review blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure work is completed accurately and according to project requirements.
- Maintain high standards for quality, workmanship, and safety through regular site inspections and documentation.
- Promote a strong safety culture by conducting meetings, identifying hazards, and ensuring OSHA compliance.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors to address challenges and keep projects moving forward.
- Maintain accountability for jobsite materials, tools, equipment, and required project documentation.
Construction Superintendent Qualifications
- 4+ years of commercial construction experience.
- Complete field documentation and perform other duties as needed to ensure project success.
- Previous experience supervising subcontractors, crews, or field operations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Strong leadership, communication, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for project documentation and communication.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- OSHA 10/30 certification, First Aid, CPR, or AED certification preferred.
- Ability to work in active construction environments and navigate job sites safely.
