Description
The Key Responsibilities:
- Lead construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout and warranty completion.
- Manage overall project financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, cost control, billing, and profitability.
- Coordinate project activities with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and internal project teams.
- Drive project schedules and oversee milestone planning in partnership with field leadership.
- Lead preconstruction efforts including subcontractor procurement, buyout, contract negotiations, value engineering, and project planning.
- Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships from award through project completion.
- Review, manage, and process RFIs, submittals, change requests, change orders, and project documentation.
- Oversee MEP coordination, low-voltage systems, nurse call systems, life safety systems, and other critical building infrastructure components.
- Conduct owner meetings, OAC meetings, preconstruction meetings, and project progress meetings while ensuring timely communication and distribution of meeting documentation.
- Prepare and distribute project status reports, schedule updates, and executive-level project communications.
- Partner with Superintendents to proactively identify and resolve schedule, budget, constructability, and field coordination challenges
Profile
The Successful Candidate
- Bachelor's degree required in a construction related field (Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Architecture).
- 7+ years of project management experience.
- Strong background in senior living construction, assisted living construction, memory care construction, or related healthcare construction
- Experience overseeing a team of Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers
- Experience working on projects in commercial, healthcare or light industrial
- Software experience in Bluebeam, Procore, Timberline.
- A non-jumpy candidate.
- Team player, outgoing personality who has the ability/experience to work closely and talk with candidates.
- Negotiating and relationship management skills.
- True leadership experience managing teams.
- Multi-tasking with a sense of urgency while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
