A confidential, highly respected Florida law firm—one of the state's oldest and most prestigious, with 275+ attorneys across 8 offices—is seeking a Construction Litigation Senior Associate with 5–7 years of complex litigation experience to join its Chambers Band 2 construction practice.


You'll work directly with two Board Certified Construction Law partners on high‑dollar, complex disputes involving owners, developers, contractors, and major commercial clients. This is a high‑visibility role within a rapidly expanding practice that offers meaningful client interaction, courtroom experience, and a clear path to partnership.

What You'll Do

  • Handle complex, large‑dollar construction disputes from start to finish
  • Cover hearings and depositions independently
  • Work closely with two Board Certified Construction partners
  • Gain meaningful client interaction and trial‑facing experience
  • Collaborate with Tampa and Orlando teams on construction matters
  • Manage cases with autonomy in a high‑demand, expanding practice

Required Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of complex litigation experience (construction focus strongly preferred)
  • Construction litigation experience representing owners, developers, or contractors
  • Experience at a reputable Florida or national litigation firm
  • Florida Bar membership
  • Courtroom experience — comfortable handling hearings independently
  • Deposition experience (taking and defending)
  • J.D. with strong academic credentials
  • Stable tenure — no excessive job hopping
  • Must work on‑site in Tampa (Orlando may be considered)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with large‑dollar construction disputes
  • Strong class rank or law review experience

Compensation & Logistics

  • Salary: $170K–$230K (experience‑based; firm will beat strong candidates' current comp)
  • Bonus: Formula‑based discretionary bonus
  • Hours: 1,900 billable target
  • Location: Tampa, FL (5 days in‑office; Orlando may be considered)
  • Visa: Sponsorship not available
  • Hiring: 1 attorney for this role
