The Panther Group is seeking a Components Engineer to support a leading aerospace and defense program in Andover, MA.

This role is heavily focused on part creation, BOM management, and lifecycle support within PTC Windchill, along with obsolescence tracking and technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience working with electronic or electromechanical components in a structured engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities

Create and manage parts (EEE, EME, and mechanical) within the PTC Windchill database
Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accuracy and compliance
Support engineering documentation, including:
- Drawings
- Change notices
- Part updates and revisions
Coordinate preparation of technical documentation to support design and production changes
Monitor component obsolescence and supply chain risks using tools such as SiliconExpert
Support part standardization initiatives and component selection processes
Collaborate with:
- Engineering teams
- Procurement
- Customers and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electromechanical or related field
58+ years of relevant experience in components engineering or related role
Hands-on experience with:
- PTC Windchill (required)
- Part creation and BOM management
Experience working with:
- Electronic or electromechanical components
Strong documentation and configuration control experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
- Candidates with active or prior clearance strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with:
- Obsolescence / DMSMS tools (e.g., SiliconExpert)
- Military (MIL-SPEC) or automotive-grade components
Experience supporting defense or missile programs
Familiarity with:
- Engineering change processes
- Configuration management systems

Pay up to $70 per hour DOE
