Reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration, Financial Affairs, the Communications Specialist will serve as the primary creator and curator of print and digital content for the Financial Affairs department and will administer the department''s website, social media channels, and digital outreach. This position serves as a strategic partner to the Financial Affairs leadership team, creating high-quality content across internal and external channels, and advancing the mission and vision of Financial Affairs. The successful candidate will demonstrate: A commitment to creative problem-solving and an ability to manage time and multiple projects under tight deadlines. Fluency in artificial intelligence concepts and tools and be eager to leverage AI in innovative ways to enhance communications, provide training, and support strategic outreach. The ability to support cross-unit communication and collaboration efforts related to key departmental and external departmental initiatives and priorities. This position involves managing sensitive and confidential information and requires the ability to work adeptly and professionally, exercising sound judgment.

Pay Range: Salary grade: 48 Annual salary range: Minimum $61,200, Midpoint $82,700, Maximum $104,100 Note: Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; new hires can expect an initial annual salary which is between the minimum and midpoint of the range above ($70k - $80k). Boston University supports a flexible work environment for authorized staff members. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (i.e., remote work up to two (2) days per week), after completion of a successful observation period.
