Communications Assistant - Entry-Level

We are seeking a dependable and professional Marketing Communications Assistant to support customer communications, promotional activities, community events, and in-person outreach.

This is an entry-level position, and previous marketing or communications experience is not required. Paid training and hands-on instruction are provided.

The position is well suited for candidates who enjoy working with people and want to develop practical experience in communication, customer service, promotional support, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with customer and community communications during promotional activities and events

• Welcome attendees and provide professional customer service

• Provide information about programs, services, events, and promotional activities

• Assist with registration, check-in, information tables, and demonstrations

• Help prepare informational materials, displays, and promotional materials

• Distribute approved promotional and informational materials

• Assist team members with community outreach activities

• Communicate professionally with customers, attendees, and team members

• Help maintain organized and professional event and promotional areas

• Participate in training sessions and team meetings

• Follow established communication and event procedures

• Complete other related support duties as assigned

Qualifications

• No previous marketing or communications experience required

• Strong verbal communication skills

• Professional and friendly approach

• Comfortable speaking with customers and members of the public

• Reliable and punctual

• Able to work effectively with a team

• Willing to learn new skills and procedures

• Able to follow instructions and complete assigned responsibilities

Experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, restaurants, sales, public relations, fundraising, community outreach, or other customer-facing roles is welcome but not required.
