We are looking for a team-oriented, detailed, and energetic Roofing Service Manager to join our ever-growing team.

Experience/Education Requirements of Roofing Service Manager

• Strong work ethic and attention to detail; initiative and self-discipline
• Ability to complete estimates and proposals under pressure to meet specific deadlines
• Understand construction practices, techniques, codes, and regulations
• Strong math and computer skills, writing, communications, public relations
• Willingness to keep current with continuing education and training as necessary
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team setting
• Minimum of five years’ commercial or industrial roofing experience
• Advanced knowledge of commercial, residential, and industrial construction equipment and techniques, drawings, specifications, component materials, and required standards applicable to the discipline
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Projects and typing skills
• Consistently represents the company with internal and external customers in a manner that’s consistent with our mission, vision, and values
• Valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and ability to work flexible schedules, including travel regionally for project-specific work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Service Manager

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

• Will learn to effectively manage employee performance, control labor, and material costs and ensure service levels meet customer expectations
• Manage operations to include scheduling of all jobs and crews
• Communicate directly with customers to schedule jobs, resolve all scheduling conflicts, and provide a premium level of customer service
• Manage and improve operational processes and procedures
• Work with Senior and Operational Management to establish sales and operating budgets
• Assist with employee/job scheduling and provide assistance with technical/mechanical trouble-shooting/problem-solving
• Monitor installers’ schedules to ensure timely completion of jobs and accurate customer invoicing
• Dispatch installers to customer job sites to assess customers’ service, repair, or installation needs and track jobs for completion to customers’ satisfaction.
• Learn to perform employee performance reviews, document performance issues, provide necessary employee counseling with targeted improvement action plans
• Hire, train and develop new employees
• Other duties may be assigned
