Real Estate Paralegal

Chicago, IL | Hybrid | $90,000-$140,000

LHH is partnering with a respected commercial real estate law firm in Chicago to find a Real Estate Paralegal. This position offers the opportunity to work on large commercial real estate transactions from due diligence through closing while collaborating closely with attorneys and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and maintain due diligence checklists

  • Review titles and surveys and prepare summaries

  • Draft title objection letters

  • Support commercial real estate transactions from start to finish

  • Draft and revise transactional and organizational documents

  • Conduct UCC, judgment, and lien searches

  • Coordinate closings, signature collection, and recordings

  • Prepare closing binders and post-closing documents

  • Communicate with clients, title companies, lenders, and other transaction parties

Qualifications

  • ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate required

  • 3+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience

  • Strong title and survey review experience

  • Experience drafting title objection letters

  • Experience managing commercial real estate transactions through closing

  • Prior title company experience highly preferred

  • Experience with Simplifile or similar e-recording platforms is a plus

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Schedule

  • First month onsite for training (5 days per week)

  • Hybrid schedule thereafter (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $90,000-$140,000 DOE
