Real Estate Paralegal
Chicago, IL | Hybrid | $90,000-$140,000
LHH is partnering with a respected commercial real estate law firm in Chicago to find a Real Estate Paralegal. This position offers the opportunity to work on large commercial real estate transactions from due diligence through closing while collaborating closely with attorneys and clients.
Responsibilities
Draft and maintain due diligence checklists
Review titles and surveys and prepare summaries
Draft title objection letters
Support commercial real estate transactions from start to finish
Draft and revise transactional and organizational documents
Conduct UCC, judgment, and lien searches
Coordinate closings, signature collection, and recordings
Prepare closing binders and post-closing documents
Communicate with clients, title companies, lenders, and other transaction parties
Qualifications
ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate required
3+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience
Strong title and survey review experience
Experience drafting title objection letters
Experience managing commercial real estate transactions through closing
Prior title company experience highly preferred
Experience with Simplifile or similar e-recording platforms is a plus
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Schedule
First month onsite for training (5 days per week)
Hybrid schedule thereafter (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $90,000-$140,000 DOE
