Warner Norcross + Judd LLP is seeking an experienced attorneyto join our Business Practice Group. This role focuses on commercial transactions with a primary responsibility for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety commercial agreements. The ideal candidate will have broad experience reviewing and advising clients on day-to-day business matters as well as drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements such as vendor, customer, services, licensing, and confidentiality agreements
Counsel clients on contract strategy and business operations
Support financing and internal restructuring transactions
Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups, including tax, labor and employment, and real estate
About You
Qualifications
Two plus years of corporate or business law experience
Strong background in commercial contracting and general corporate counseling
Exposure to finance transactions, private equity portfolio company work, or corporate reorganizations
Experience working directly with clients and managing multiple matters independently
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
Ability to provide practical, business focused advice
A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Admission to the Michigan Bar, or the ability to become licensed in Michigan
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
