Collections Specialist

We’re looking for an experienced Collections Specialist with strong business to business collections background for a company located in South Orange County. This position will focus heavily on collections, account follow up, and resolving payment issues.

Collections Specialist (Business to Business)
Hybrid: 2 days in office, 3 days remote (Must be local to South Orange County)
Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay: $26 to $28/hour
Contract: 6 months

We’re looking for an experienced Collections Specialist with strong business to business collections background for a company located in South Orange County. This position will focus heavily on collections, account follow up, and resolving payment issues.

Responsibilities for the Collections Specialist:
• Review aging reports daily and prioritize past due accounts
• Make collection calls and send follow up emails
• Research and resolve payment delays and customer disputes
• Identify issues involving quantities, product quality, invoices, or other discrepancies
• Work with customers and internal teams to clear issues and collect payment
• Assist with cash applications as needed
• Maintain consistent follow up until balances are resolved

Requirements for the Collections Specialist:
• Strong business to business collections experience
• Cash application experience
• Comfortable handling customer disputes and researching payment issues
• Persistent but professional approach to collections
• NetSuite experience is a plus
• International collections experience is a big plus
