Coating Production Technician - 2nd Shift

This position is responsible for operating and starting up coating lines, monitoring automated systems, performing in-process quality inspections, and ensuring production flows efficiently and safely. Coating Production Technician opportunity Monday - Friday on 2nd shift (4:00pm - 12:30am) to support automated coating and barrel processing lines in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for operating and starting up coating lines, monitoring automated systems, performing in-process quality inspections, and ensuring production flows efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate is mechanically and technically inclined, comfortable working with automation and PLC interfaces, and highly detail-oriented with a strong quality mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Start up, operate, and monitor automated coating lines

• Use PLC control boxes and HMIs to maintain proper process flow

• Perform in-process quality inspections to identify defects early

• Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures

• Load parts into barrels, including repetitive lifting

• Support basic troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement

• Maintain safety, housekeeping (6S), and production documentation standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• Manufacturing experience preferred; automation experience a plus

• Comfortable working with PLCs, HMIs, and computerized equipment

• Strong attention to detail and quality mindset

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment
