Teslas LFP Electrode Production Team is seeking highly motivated individuals to tackle manufacturing of a challenging new process. You will be working alongside Engineers, Maintenance, Quality, and Training to develop an advanced new process and be among the first individuals to work in a new cell manufacturing factory within Tesla.

You will spend a significant amount of time training, troubleshooting, and driving performance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating Teslas coating lines, requiring highly skilled work in monitoring and adjusting coating die heads
- Monitoring and adjusting the NMP recovery process in the coated cathode production line, including parameter adjustments to maintain the process within defined specifications
- Completing standard work process and following work instructions, procedures, and rotating as required
- Demonstrating flexibility as needed by the business
- Escalating technical and process issues to the appropriate support groups and leaders
- Following safety guidelines and procedures and demonstrating a high level of professionalism
- Maintaining exemplary attendance and punctuality to scheduled shifts
Requirements:
- Manufacturing industry experience: 3-5 years preferred
- Experience in large or small-scale manufacturing in a production process role
- Experience with operating and troubleshooting automated semi-automated manufacturing equipment, basic mechanical troubleshooting preferred
- Demonstrate ability to analyze problems and error conditions, identify root causes, and implement viable long-term solutions
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles is preferred but not required
- Command of the English language, both written and verbal, with the ability to understand and record maintenance procedures, shift pass downs
- Comfortable with frequent change of direction, dynamic work environment, and passion to perform time-sensitive analysis under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to be a self-driven contributor with limited supervision
Essential Physical Demands:
- Able to perform assembly work and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
- Frequently and repetitively lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs
- Climb and descend a 10" step and ability to carry 20 lbs up and down stairs
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrain
- Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist, and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours a day
- Exposures to hazardous materials used and ability to follow waste handling and disposal procedures
- Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment for up to 12 hours per day, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, hearing protection, half-face respirators, powered-air purifying respirators (PAPRs), gloves, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines.
