Description
MBS is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join their manufacturing team. Candidates with manufacturing or machine operation experience are encouraged to apply. CNC experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
Job Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines and run production parts.
- Make adjustments as needed during production.
- Set up tools, adjust offsets, tool lengths, and machine settings.
- Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet specifications and submit parts to Quality Control for verification.
- Maintain proper coolant levels and keep CNC machines and work areas clean.
- Hold required part tolerances and maintain quality standards.
- Troubleshoot machine and production issues as needed.
- Work independently and maintain a steady production pace.
- Multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assist with training new machine operators.
- Follow work orders, production instructions, and safety/quality procedures.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing and/or machine operation experience preferred.
- CNC machine experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to set up and operate machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and production instructions.
- Familiarity with CNC programming/software is a plus.
- Comfortable using hand tools and maintaining machinery.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and stay organized.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- High school diploma/equivalent or completion of formal training/apprenticeship preferred.
