    Role Summary

    This role provides hands-on cloud networking and production support across AWS environments, ensuring platform stability, security, and reliability. The engineer will work closely with infrastructure and security teams to maintain uptime, troubleshoot network and application issues, and support ongoing cloud operations.

    Responsibilities

    • Support and maintain AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, ECS or EKS, RDS or DynamoDB, API Gateway, EventBridge, and CloudWatch.
    • Support production environments through incident management, change management, and root-cause analysis.
    • Manage IAM roles and policies, apply least-privilege access principles, and maintain security groups and network controls.
    • Monitor system health and troubleshoot issues using tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace, or comparable platforms.
    • Use Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure management, and Python, Bash, or AWS CLI for automation and scripting.
    • Support hybrid networking configurations, including VPC routing, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and DNS, and troubleshoot related network issues.
    • Communicate technical issues and resolutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    Qualifications

    • Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, ECS or EKS, RDS or DynamoDB, API Gateway, EventBridge, and CloudWatch.
    • Experience supporting production environments, incident management, change management, and root-cause analysis.
    • Strong knowledge of IAM roles and policies, least-privilege access, security groups, and network controls.
    • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace, or comparable platforms.
    • Working knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation and scripting with Python, Bash, or AWS CLI.
    • Understanding of hybrid networking, including VPC routing, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, DNS, and network troubleshooting.
    • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to varied audiences.
