Cloud Engineer position open in Greenville, SC for a full-time professional with 3+ years of Microsoft Azure experience and hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure, App Services/Functions, Azure Storage, cost analysis, Active Directory, VMware, and Windows Server administration. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills and enjoy working in a hands-on infrastructure environment.
Join a collaborative IT team and gain exposure to a growing Azure environment while working across both cloud and enterprise infrastructure. This is on onsite position with an opportunity for increased remote flexibility as you become established in the role.
Requirements & Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience
- Experience building, configuring, and supporting Azure cloud infrastructure
- Experience with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, storage, monitoring, and cost analysis
- Experience with Active Directory administration
- Experience with VMware/vSphere and virtualized environments
- Experience with Windows Server administration
- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, and firewall configuration
- Experience with PowerShell or other scripting/automation tools
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with technical and security teams
- Azure certification is preferred but not required
- Linux administration experience is preferred but not required
- Experience with GoAnywhere or managed file transfer platforms is a plus but can be trained
Responsibilities
- Build, configure, maintain, and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services
- Configure and manage Azure App Services, Functions, storage, and related cloud resources
- Monitor Azure environments, analyze usage and costs, and identify opportunities for optimization
- Support and maintain Active Directory, Windows Server, VMware, and other enterprise infrastructure
- Troubleshoot cloud, server, virtualization, networking, and application infrastructure issues
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate repetitive infrastructure and administrative tasks
- Support cloud migrations and infrastructure implementation projects
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Work with Information Security to address vulnerabilities and maintain secure infrastructure
- Provide advanced technical support for infrastructure-related issues
- Maintain system documentation, configurations, technical procedures, and infrastructure diagrams
- Support secure file-transfer platforms and other enterprise applications
