About the Role | Why It's Exciting

As a Clinician and Intensive Care Coordinator (ICC), you will provide evidence-based therapy and coordinate comprehensive care for youth, caregivers, schools, and community providers. You will develop collaborative care plans that reflect each family's voice, strengthen relationships, and connect youth and families with the support they need. In this role, you will deliver high-impact, community-based behavioral health services in Contra Costa County for a respected nonprofit with more than 60 years of service to youth and families. What You Bring

You're a compassionate clinician committed to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and family-centered care. You bring clinical judgment, organizational excellence, and the ability to manage complex cases. We serve clients with broad and complex needs, so would prefer candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Complex trauma and attachment-related challenges

• Autism Spectrum Disorder and neurodevelopmental conditions

• LGBTQ+ affirming care and gender-affirming practice

• Co-occurring behavioral and physical health conditions

• Working with historically marginalized communities and addressing behavioral health disparities

• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus and will be taken into consideration when factoring the overall compensation package, yet we welcome applications from all qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Help Youth and Families Thrive

Provide strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive mental health care through comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, and individual and family therapy. Support youth and caregivers in building resilience, developing effective coping skills, strengthening family connections, and achieving meaningful treatment goals. Work with families from diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences.

• Lead Collaborative Care Coordination 

Facilitate Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings and case conferences with caregivers, service providers, and educators. Guide collaborative decision-making, ensure every voice is heard, and align treatment plans with each family's strengths and goals.

• Drive Lasting Outcomes

Coordinate services among schools, behavioral health providers, child welfare agencies, and community partners to ensure that youth and families receive connected, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed support.

• Maintain Quality Documentation

Maintain timely, high-quality clinical documentation and ensure compliance with Medi-Cal, HIPAA, and agency standards.

Compensation & Career Path

Starting annual salary:$72,765 - $78,447, based on experience and licensure status. Licensed clinicians may negotiate higher compensation based on credentials and background. Bilingual differential: $3,000 or more annually. Clear career pathways exist for clinicians interested in supervision, program development, or leadership roles.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field

• Current registration or licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (A/LMFT, A/LCSW, A/LPCC)

• Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and family-centered care and strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and ability to manage complex cases

Other Requirements

• At least 21 years of age

• Successfully pass background checks, health screening and other licensing/certification requirements.

• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance.
