    Clinical Support Supervisor | Brooklyn, NY · $90,000–$120,000

    About the Role A busy healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Clinical Support Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of a multidisciplinary clinical support department. The supervisor will oversee approximately 20 staff members across a wide range of functions — from referrals and prior authorizations to chronic care management and social care navigation — ensuring everything runs smoothly, compliantly, and with the patient at the center.

    Key Responsibilities

    Team Leadership & Development

    • Supervise, coach, and develop approximately 20 clinical support staff across multiple departments
    • Manage staffing schedules, workload distribution, and ongoing training
    • Serve as the escalation point for complex patient or provider issues

    Operations & Workflow Management

    • Ensure timely processing of referrals, prior authorizations, medical records, transportation, CCM/RPM workflows, and social care navigation
    • Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and enhance the patient experience
    • Analyze departmental performance using operational reports and KPIs

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Collaborate with providers, nursing leadership, care managers, front desk staff, billing, and executive leadership
    • Coordinate patient care across departments to ensure seamless service delivery

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of healthcare operations experience
    • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience overseeing multiple functional teams
    • Experience in an ambulatory care practice, FQHC, multispecialty group, hospital outpatient clinic, or managed care organization strongly preferred
    • Working knowledge of referrals, prior authorizations, medical records, and care management
    • Familiarity with CCM, RPM, and SDOH programs highly desirable
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or related field preferred
