Job Overview

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate and dependable Classroom Nurse (LPN) to provide skilled nursing care and support to students in a school-based setting. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on a student's health, safety, and educational success while working in a collaborative and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students throughout the school day.

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.

• Monitor student health status and accurately document care provided.

• Implement individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and physician-directed care plans.

• Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.

• Assist with activities of daily living as needed.

• Support students with specialized healthcare needs, including:

• Tracheostomy care

• G-tube feedings

• Seizure monitoring and management

• Diabetes management

• Ventilator care (when applicable)

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, school staff, and healthcare providers to promote student well-being.

• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, company policies, and school requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania LPN license required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Previous pediatric, private duty, school nursing, or classroom nursing experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a student-centered approach to care.
