This is an exciting opportunity for a claims professional who enjoys leading people, building client relationships and driving operational excellence. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality claims services across a portfolio of client programs, while supporting the development of a talented team and contributing to the ongoing success of the business.

 

As Claims Manager, you will provide leadership, guidance and oversight to a team of claims professionals, ensuring exceptional service standards, technical accuracy and compliance with client expectations. Alongside managing team performance and program delivery, you will maintain involvement in claims strategy, client engagement, recruitment, onboarding and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with senior leadership, you will help shape a collaborative, high-performing culture and support the continued growth of the US claims operation.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of claims professionals - providing day-to-day technical guidance, performance feedback and support to help individuals achieve high standards of claims handling and client service.
  • Oversee claims handling across assigned client programs - ensuring files are managed effectively, service levels are met and claims are progressed in line with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage a personal caseload while maintaining quality oversight of the team’s work - reviewing reports, correspondence, coverage assessments and claims strategies to ensure accuracy and consistency before client submission.
  • Act as the primary operational contact for clients - building trusted relationships, attending client meetings, addressing queries and delivering a high-quality service experience.
  • Monitor program performance and operational delivery - ensuring compliance with service level agreements, court deadlines, internal processes and quality standards across the team.
  • Support the financial management of client program - reviewing time recording, invoices and billing activity to ensure accuracy, timely submission and adherence to program guidelines.
  • Drive team growth through recruitment, onboarding and training - helping to attract, develop and retain talented claims professionals within a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Champion compliance, governance and continuous improvement - supporting audits, maintaining regulatory and licensing requirements, and identifying opportunities to enhance processes and client outcomes.
What will help you succeed in this role? :

Essential

  • Significant experience in claims handling, including responsibility for overseeing teams, complex claims portfolios or client programs.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop claims professionals, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in coverage analysis, litigation management, claims strategy and client reporting.
  • Experience managing client relationships, service delivery standards, audits and program performance.
  • Sound understanding of US insurance regulations, licensing requirements and industry best practice across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities effectively

 

Desirable

  • Experience gained within a Third-Party Administrator (TPA), insurance carrier or similar claims environment.
  • Familiarity with client-specific claims management systems and reporting platforms.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, training and team development initiatives.
What we offer?:

The salary range for this role is up to $140,000 per annum, together with eligibility for our annual bonus program.
