Overview

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and additional documentation to formulate precise cost estimates.
• Oversee the estimation and bidding procedures for civil projects.
• Determine labor, materials, and time requirements through proposal and plan assessments.
• Evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Compile bid packages and deliver final estimates to senior management.
• Participate in pre-bid conferences and on-site inspections as needed.
• Suggest value engineering solutions.
• Manage historical cost data and create estimating resources and tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience as an estimator in civil construction.
• Proven expertise in take-offs and estimating various civil projects (excavation, site work, utilities, etc).
• Familiarity with CIVIL estimating software is preferred (Agtek, Bid-To-Win, HeavyBid, etc).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Keen attention to detail is crucial.
