Job Description

This role focuses on the design of landfill pipe networks, applying civil engineering principles and specialized design tools to develop safe, efficient, and compliant infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design landfill pipe networks in accordance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications.
• Develop detailed design plans, drawings, and models using Civil 3D and other civil engineering tools.
• Analyze site conditions and project requirements to determine appropriate layout, sizing, and configuration of landfill piping systems.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to refine design concepts and ensure alignment with overall project objectives.
• Review and update designs based on feedback, technical constraints, and evolving project needs.
• Prepare technical documentation and design packages that clearly communicate design intent and construction requirements.
• Support troubleshooting and design adjustments during project execution to address field conditions or design changes.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure or utility design.
• Strong proficiency in Civil 3D for creating and modifying civil engineering designs and models.
• Ability to design landfill pipe networks or similar piping and drainage systems.
• Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, standards, and best practices.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing technical drawings and design documents.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams and present design concepts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Formal education in civil engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Experience working on landfill, environmental, or waste management projects.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations governing landfill and piping design.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary project environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt designs to site-specific constraints.

Work Environment

The position operates in a professional engineering environment that combines office-based design work with potential coordination with field teams. You will primarily work with Civil 3D and other civil engineering software tools to produce detailed design drawings and models. The role typically follows standard business hours, with additional time as needed to meet project deadlines. Collaboration with other engineers, designers, and project stakeholders is an integral part of the work, fostering a team-oriented and solutions-focused culture.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Englewood, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
