Description

Gpac is partnering with a community bank, in Fairfield County CT, that is looking for a new COO. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the position of Chief Operating Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to all departments within the bank.
  • Develop and implement lending strategies to maximize profitability and minimize risk.
  • Manage day to day operations of the compliance and loan operations departments.
  • Collaborate with executive management to set company goals and objectives.
  • Monitor loan portfolio performance and make necessary adjustments to achieve financial targets.
  • Ability to be very hands-on.  Expectation will be to roll up your sleeves and help the team when needed. 

Essential job functions:

  • Hire, lead, mentor, and motivate a team of lending and credit professionals.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, and investors.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and develop innovative lending solutions.

Skills:

  • Proven track record of leadership.
  • Strong understanding of compliance, lending principles and processes, risk assessment, credit analysis and accounting.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions and manage a diverse team. 

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of management experience in a community bank setting.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related field.
  • Strong operations skills / experience.
