About SALT Dental Partners

SALT Dental Partners is one of the fastest-growing Dental Service Organizations in the country.  A hyper-growth platform supporting 250+ specialty practices across pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and oral surgery, operating across 20+ states.  SALT is building the defining specialty DSO platform in the country. The pace is fast, the stakes are high, and the right leaders have significant opportunity to shape what this organization becomes.

Role Summary

The Chief of Staff serves as the CEO's primary execution partner, ensuring that SALT's highest-priority initiatives move from vision to completion on time, on budget, and with full organizational alignment. This is not a coordination role. This person owns outcomes.

Operating across 250+ locations in 20+ states and growing fast, the bar is high and the opportunity to make an outsized impact never stops. The right person thrives in ambiguity, operates with CEO-level discretion, and can shift seamlessly from building a board deck to running a cross-functional working session to drafting a partner doctor communication, all in the same week.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Program Management

  • Own the company-wide initiative roadmap - tracking milestones, dependencies, owners, and deadlines across all major programs
  • Build and maintain a single source of truth for CEO-level priorities
  • Maintain a centralized view of strategic initiatives across all departments and proactively flag risks, delays, and misalignment to the CEO
  • Run the executive team operating cadence - agendas, pre-reads, decisions, and follow-through
  • Drive structure and consistency around enterprise planning and review cycles
  • Build and maintain project plans and trackers across functional areas
  • Flag risks and blockers before they become problems

CEO Leverage & Meeting Orchestration

  • Attend key executive and cross-functional meetings on behalf of or alongside the CEO, both virtually and in person
  • Prepare the CEO for meetings with relevant context, pre-reads, and agenda framing
  • Capture decisions, open items, and ownership clearly and distribute with precision and speed
  • Follow up with functional leaders post-meeting to ensure accountability and progress
  • Serve as an extension of the CEO in operational settings, holding standards and driving follow-through

Organizational Alignment & Interdepartmental Communication

  • Serve as a trusted, neutral conduit between the CEO and functional leaders — clinical, RCM, finance, people, growth, and IT
  • Identify where decisions are stalling or organizational alignment is missing and bring them to resolution through the CEO
  • Ensure cross-functional projects have clear owners, clear handoffs, and no gaps
  • Build trust across the organization as a fair, credible, and high-integrity voice of the CEO
  • Model operating discipline and communication standards across the organization

Executive Communication & Storytelling

  • Build board decks, investor presentations, partner keynotes, and internal leadership communications
  • Translate complex operational data into clear, compelling narratives for internal audiences, the board, and PE sponsors
  • Serve as editorial lead on all CEO-level written and visual communication, reflecting the CEO's voice and priorities
  • Develop talk tracks and messaging frameworks for partner doctor-facing events
  • Maintain a real-time view of enterprise priorities and surface communication gaps before they become operational problems

Deck Building & Visual Communication

  • Own the production of all high-stakes presentations — board, PE sponsor, partner doctors, town halls
  • Maintain SALT's presentation standards, templates, and brand voice
  • Partner directly with the CEO to develop keynote content and cultural communication

Budget & Financial Oversight

  • Partner with Finance to track initiative-level budgets and resource allocation
  • Surface variances and tradeoffs for CEO decision-making
  • Ensure strategic investments are tied to measurable outcomes and PE-legible KPIs
Qualifications:

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 7–12 years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or chief of staff roles
  • Background in PE-backed healthcare, DSO, or high-growth multi-site services strongly preferred
  • Exceptional writer and communicator - can build a board deck and a town hall script with equal fluency
  • Project management discipline - not just organized, but systems-oriented
  • High EQ - trusted by doctors, operators, and investors alike
  • Operates with CEO-level discretion and judgment at all times
  • Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where the playbook is still being written
  • Occasional travel is required, approximately once per month, to support cross-functional team collaboration and practice visits across SALT's multi-state footprint
