Boys & Girls Club of Oakland is looking for a dynamic and mission-driven Chief of Staff to serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership in the heart of Oakland, CA. Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and right-hand partner to the Executive Director and senior leadership team
  • Oversee cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment between departments and organizational priorities
  • Manage executive communications, board meeting preparation, and key stakeholder correspondence
  • Lead organizational planning processes including goal-setting, performance tracking, and reporting
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions to improve organizational effectiveness
  • Represent leadership in internal and external meetings, community partnerships, and donor relations
  • Support staff development, culture-building, and change management efforts across the organization
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in nonprofit management, operations, or organizational leadership
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in executive-level correspondence
  • Experience working with boards of directors, donors, and community stakeholders
  • Deep commitment to youth development, equity, and community empowerment
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in nonprofit management, public administration, or related field preferred
