    Chief Financial Officer

    Our organization is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide financial leadership for a mission-driven nonprofit organization making a meaningful impact in the community.     The CFO will oversee the organization’s financial strategy and operations, ensuring strong financial stewardship while partnering with executive leadership and the Board to support long-term growth and organizational success.


    Responsibilities



    • Lead the organization’s overall financial strategy, planning, and operations

    • Oversee accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, cash management, and internal controls

    • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans

    • Prepare and present financial results, analysis, and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board

    • Ensure compliance with applicable nonprofit accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements

    • Oversee the annual audit and work closely with external auditors

    • Monitor financial performance and provide strategic insights to support organizational decision-making

    • Partner with department leaders to develop budgets and ensure responsible use of resources

    • Evaluate financial risks and opportunities and develop strategies to support the organization’s long-term sustainability

    • Oversee grants, restricted funds, and other nonprofit-specific financial activities

    • Lead and develop the finance and accounting team

    • Serve as a trusted strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team


    Qualifications



    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field

    • CPA and/or advanced degree preferred

    • Significant financial leadership experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization

    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial planning

    • Experience working with executive leadership and Boards of Directors

    • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

    • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on financial management

    • Experience with nonprofit accounting, grants, restricted funds, and compliance is highly preferred
