Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Family-Owned Gas Station & Convenience Store Group

We are a long-standing, family-owned business operating multiple gas station and convenience store locations. We take pride in our community relationships and commitment to customer service. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a hands-on and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and support long-term business planning.
What You’ll Do
- Lead all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Manage cash flow, margins, inventory costing, and profitability across multiple locations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for ownership.
- Implement and improve financial controls, processes, and reporting systems.
- Oversee payroll, A/P, A/R, general ledger, and regulatory/tax compliance.
- Manage banking, vendor, and supplier financial relationships.
- Provide financial insights to support pricing, staffing, capital investments, and growth decisions.
- Support ownership with expansion planning, acquisitions, and new store openings.
- Mentor and oversee bookkeeping or finance staff as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Active CPA (or in good standing).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5–10+ years of financial leadership experience; retail or multi-location business experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of inventory costing, margins, and financial controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on role within a family business environment.
